Terms of Use
Welcome to ta.school (the “School,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, online courses, and related services (together, the “Services”). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.
1. Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be at least 13 years old (or the legal age in your country) to create an account or enrol in a course. By registering, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials. You are responsible for all activities under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or our policies.
2. Use of Materials and Intellectual Property
All course content, videos, text, graphics, and other materials provided through our Services are owned by ta.school or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view course materials for your personal, educational use only. You may not:
• Copy, share, or distribute materials publicly.
• Use materials for commercial purposes or resale.
• Alter, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from our content.
• Remove or modify any trademark, copyright, or proprietary notices.
If we provide downloadable resources, you may store one copy per device for personal offline study. This license terminates automatically if any of these conditions are breached.
3. User-Generated Content
You may submit text, assignments, or posts during course participation. By submitting content, you grant ta.school a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for educational or operational purposes.
You retain ownership of your work but are responsible for ensuring it does not infringe the rights of others or include unlawful material.
4. Payment, Refunds, and Access
Where a course or subscription requires payment, you agree to provide valid payment information. Prices are shown in your selected currency and include taxes where applicable.
• Refunds: Refund eligibility may vary by course and will comply with applicable consumer protection laws. Where required by law (e.g. UK or EU), you may withdraw within 14 days of purchase if the digital content has not yet been accessed.
• Access duration: Course access is either time-limited or lifetime-based, as stated at the time of purchase.
• Cancellations: We may cancel or modify a course; where this affects paid content, we will offer reasonable remedies such as refunds or alternate access options.
5. Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to handling your personal data responsibly and in compliance with the UK Data Protection Act 2018, GDPR, and other relevant privacy laws.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and store your personal data. By using our Services, you also agree to that Privacy Policy.
We store user data securely, restrict access to authorized staff, and allow you to request deletion or correction of your personal data at any time.
6. Acceptable Use and Learning Conduct
You agree to use the Services in a respectful, lawful manner. In particular, you must not:
• Harass, abuse, or harm other learners or instructors.
• Upload or distribute malicious code.
• Use the platform to promote commercial products or external courses without permission.
ta.school reserves the right to remove content or take disciplinary measures for violations, including suspension or permanent exclusion from the platform.
7. Accessibility and Inclusion
We aim to make courses accessible to a global audience and strive to meet international accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG 2.1). Please contact us if you encounter accessibility barriers so we can assist or improve our materials.
8. Links to Other Sites
Our Services may include links to third-party websites. These are provided for convenience only. We do not control or endorse the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of these external sites. Use them at your own discretion and in accordance with their own terms.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
Courses and materials are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties—express or implied—including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that our content is error-free or uninterrupted, nor that it will meet every individual’s learning goals.
Except as required by law, ta.school, its instructors, or partners will not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of data, revenue, or business). If liability arises, it will be limited to the amount paid for the affected course.
Certain jurisdictions may not allow some exclusions; in such cases, the minimum lawful protections will apply.
10. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, network outages, regulatory changes, or wars.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. When we make significant changes, we will provide reasonable notice—by email, notice on our website, or within the platform. Continued use of our Services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, unless your local law provides stronger mandatory protections, in which case those apply.
If a dispute arises, please contact us first at info@ta.education. We will attempt to resolve it informally. If that is not possible, you may refer the matter to arbitration or small claims court in your jurisdiction.
